Not 100% sure? Get a Trial Membership!
We offer a great Trial Membership deal: $40 for 3 games. You can come and play on any regular bowling night (Tuesday or Thursday) or Saturday mornings. Then if you decide to get a full membership, the cost of your trial will be deducted from the fee. (Note: Trial Members must attend at least one free New Bowlers Coaching Clinic session prior to playing on regular game days.)

How do I sign up?
Just fill out and submit our Membership Application and Renewal Form.
Application/Renewal Form (PDF)

You may bring your signed forms to the club (at a time when a regular game is scheduled) or email them. Likewise, you may pay your fee at the club by cash, cheque, or credit card (on a game day), or via Interac e-Transfer. Email us at torontolawnbowling@gmail.com for details.

Do I need any equipment?
Nope. We have a wide selection of bowls available for members to use, along with all the other necessary equipment. Just wear comfortable clothing (you’ll be bending, stretching, and swinging your arms) and flat-soled shoes or sandals (no heels at all, no tread deeper than ¼ inch). You’ll also likely want a hat. It gets pretty sunny out there. Oh, and feel free to wear whatever colour you like. We only wear whites for tournament play. (One thing: To help protect the environment, the club stocks no disposable cups or bottled water. We encourage players to bring their own water bottle and fill it from our filtered water cooler.)

Do I have to join a team?
We play “jitney-style” bowling. That means there are no formal teams. Teams of two or three are made up of whoever attends on the day. The players are chosen by a blind draw, but the teams are balanced to ensure there’s an even mix of experience levels so the games aren’t lopsided. That’s no fun for anyone. It also means you don’t have to worry if you can’t make it on a particular day. You can’t “let the team down”. You play when you want to play, and you play to have fun.

When do we bowl?
Our regularly scheduled games are on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and Saturday mornings. Check our Calendar to see which days we play. In addition, full members have access to the greens at any time Baird Park is open to practice or play pre-arranged pickup games with other members.
